help taste

Command of the Week, number 1.

taste

usage: taste [--again] DISH

Run it after every change.

The most underused command in home cooking. A recipe cannot know how salty your stock is, how sour your lemon is, or how hot your chili flakes are. Only taste can.

Taste at every point where you can still change something: after seasoning, after reducing, and right before serving. Use a clean spoon each time. Double-dipping is not a technique.

Example session
taste soupflat. nothing wrong, nothing interesting.salt add --pinch soup && taste soupbetter. still a little heavy.acid add --squeeze lemon soup && taste soupdone. ship it.
