4.9.0 "Peak Corn"
Released
Sweet corn reaches general availability.
Added
- Fresh sweet corn, which is sweetest soon after picking. Cook it the day you buy it.
- Corn in the microwave: about 4 minutes per ear, husk on. Cut off the stem end and the ear slides out of the husk with the silk left behind.
Changed
- Boiling time for fresh corn reduced to 3 to 5 minutes. Longer does not help.
Deprecated
- Corn holders shaped like tiny ears of corn. Still supported. Still unnecessary.
Known issues
- Kernels lodge between teeth. No fix planned. Floss is available as a separate package.
